Dent Middle School is dedicated to excellence in education for all students. We are excited about the opportunity to provide an optional Saturday School Credit Recovery program for selected students. The Saturday School Credit Recovery program is designed for students who earned a 68% or below in English Language Arts, Math, Science, or Social Studies. Students can participate in two content area courses. Upon successful completion of the Saturday School Credit Recovery Program, the student’s failing grades for the second quarter will be increased to a 70. Certified teachers will provide instruction for students. The program will meet on Saturdays from 8:00 am-12:00 pm on the following dates: February 8th, February 22nd, March 1st, and March 8th. Transportation provided by parent/guardian.
Students who have a failing final grade will be retained and may need to seek out additional options for promotion. Richland School District 2 does not offer summer school.
Thank you for your interest in your child’s academic progress and success. If you have any questions or concerns related to the Saturday School Credit Recovery Program please contact Shanitra Deas, Assistant Principal, at (803) 699-2750 ext. 72202 or [email protected].
